HTR Operating Principle

HTR uses helium as its coolant, graphite as the moderator, and adopts spherical fuel elements with all-ceramic coated particle. After helium being heated to 750℃ in the reactor core, it is sent to the steam generator and heated by water to become high-temperature steam; then the high-temperature steam flows into steam turbine generator to generate electricity. The reactor, the steam turbine generator and the main helium circulator constitute the main system of HTR.
